TASCHEN offsets its annual carbon emissions through carbon credits supporting Instituto Terra, the Brazilian reforestation initiative founded by Lélia and Sebastião Salgado. TASCHEN reports annual emissions of approximately 13,000 metric tons of CO₂, while its investment helps fund the restoration of Atlantic Forest habitat, where more than two million trees representing over 300 species have been planted.

TASCHEN manages its publishing operations from Cologne, Germany, while working with an international production network tailored to each title and format. Many of its high-end monographs, photo books, and collector’s editions are printed and bound in Europe, particularly in Italy, where the publisher also operates a dedicated bookbindery near Milan to oversee specialized bindings and maintain close quality control.
