Measuring Your Body
A flexible, fabric measuring tape is your best tool here. Make sure it's not stretched or twisted as you're taking your measurements.
Bust Measurement: To measure your bust, wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust while keeping it parallel to the ground. Make sure it's snug but not too tight. If you typically wear a bra with some padding, measure over that.
Waist Measurement: Measure your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your torso. This is usually about an inch above your belly button.
Hip Measurement: For hip measurement, place the tape around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. Again, keep it parallel to the ground.
Measuring Trousers
Inseam Measurement
For pants or trousers, grab your most perfect fitting pants and measure from the crotch seam to the hem along the inside of your leg. This will give you the inseam measurement which you can use to compare.
Consider Fit Preference
Some brands might have different fits, like slim or relaxed. Some bottoms have different lengths in addition to regular, like petite or long. Check the product description to understand how the garment is intended to fit.
Consider Fabric
Trousers made with stretchy materials like elastane, lycra, or spandex can provide more flexibility and comfort in the thigh area while other fabrics might be sturdier and require more precise sizing.
Shoe Sizing
Familiarize yourself with the conversion between US and European sizes and remember that sizing can vary slightly between brands, so refer to the specific brand's chart when in doubt.
Consider Width
European shoes often come in different width options, such as "N" for narrow, "M" for medium, and "W" for wide. Check if the shoes you're interested in have width options that align with your foot shape.
Check Materials
Pay attention to the materials used in the shoes. Some materials, like leather or suede, can stretch and mold to your foot over time, providing a better fit.
Regional Sizing
Here are the corresponding European sizes for reference. These are approximate conversions, and actual sizing can vary between brands and styles. We suggest you refer to the brand's sizing chart for the most accurate measurements. We also know every body is beautifully unique, so if you're still concerned about sizing for a particular piece, please contact us with your measurements and we'll do our best to match you with or order for you a size we think is most likely to fit. Many of our made-to-order designers also offer custom sizing, so be sure to check out and scroll down the brand page for more information.
