The tatreez motif adorned on this apron is called “Diamond” (Almas in Arabic); a wonderful addition to any kitchen inventory. Darzah's talented artisans are mostly refugee women who have historically faced lack of economic opportunity and gender inequality. Darzah aims to empower these women by providing them with training and job opportunities.
The Apron measures 19” long x 20” wide with 18” straps and is made with locally sourced fabric from Nablus.
About Tatreez
Tatreez is a form of traditional embroidery practiced across various Middle Eastern and North African cultures, particularly prominent in Palestinian and Jordanian communities. This art form involves intricate stitching using colorful threads to create geometric patterns and motifs.
